At Red Wicker Chair Company, we are a full service legacy video company serving Middle Tennessee. We show up on site with our equipment and provide a 2 hour interview session that breaks down after editing to around a 30-40 minute long video. We are a dedicated service that makes preserving your family's precious stories accessible and affordable. We offer professional-quality video recordings at a fraction of the cost of hiring a traditional videographer.
Our streamlined, heartfelt process is beautifully simple: We capture a single-frame, continuous video interview with your loved one as they share their life stories in their own words. Using professional-grade audio, natural light and professional lighting techniques, we deliver a timeless, high-quality recording on a durable USB drive—ready to treasure for generations. We also handle posting and sharing the video securely, so you can easily connect with friends, family, and future generations.

How it works
Our video interviews are comfortable and easy. We film in the comfort of your own home, using minimal equipment, keeping the whole process relaxed and low-pressure. The interview itself feels like a natural conversation — but the final video features just you, telling your stories in your own words.
How to get started

Contact us by phone or email to get started. We'll reach out to walk you through our intake form — covering the who, what, and where that matter most to you.
2. Schedule Your Video
Once we have the details, we'll find a time that works for your video shoot. A refundable down payment secures your booking (No worries if you need to cancel, life happens — we get it!).
3. Get Ready for Filming
Please have hair and makeup done before we arrive. We'll scout the space for the best lighting, then start rolling!
4. Receive Your Finished Video
Once your video is complete, the remaining balance is due at delivery — and then it's ready to share with friends and family.
FAQ’s
Are your services limited to the Nashville Area or do you also travel?
Yes, we only travel in the surrounding Nashville Area. However, we may offer more services in the future, so check back with us!
How is this service different from doing the same thing myself?
You can do it yourself too! However, we can do it for you and get it back to you so it is finished quickly. We have a proven process that provides you with the best outcome. You will not have to figure out what questions to ask, how to make the video sound and look right, learn software to edit the video etc.
Can I see the questions that will be asked ahead of time?
Yes, of course! We encourage you to review the questions and provide feedback. We send questions ahead of time so we can prioritize the most relevant questions and make sure we get the stories you want on video. You can send questions to family members as well. We will review the questions with your loved one before filming.
What do I need to do to prepare for the day of filming?
All that you need to do is make sure your loved one looks the way they would like for taping. Remind your loved one to get their hair and makeup done prior to our arrival. It doesn’t need to be anything fancy, just make sure they are comfortable and prepared.
What if my loved one is having a difficult day and filming isn’t easy for them?
We understand your loved one may be going through a lot. It is important to do the video interview on one of their best days. Our intake forms, helps us to understand and prepare for these circumstances. When needed, we can always reschedule, just notify us in a reasonable timeframe.
Can I share the finished videos online?
Yes. We want the stories shared! We provide files to you so you can share them with friends and family however you would like. We also can provide a link to the video so you can share on your devices. We only ask that it stays non-commercial as we retain the copyright.
How is the payment structured?
We use a simple two-payment process so there are no surprises. A 50% deposit ($300) is due on the session date when we meet face to face. The remaining balance ($350) is due prior to delivery of your finished video. We'll let you know when your video is ready and collect the final payment when releasing the file or shipping your USB drive.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept payment by credit or debit card, Venmo, and Zelle. Payment details will be provided when you book your session.
How long does it take to receive the finished product?
You can typically expect to receive your finished video within 7–10 business days of your filming session. We'll keep you updated throughout the editing process and notify you as soon as it's ready.
